Learning Stories in a Strengths-Based Assessment Framework

About this event

In early childhood, a well-constructed 'quality' learning story:

  • Supports a formative assessment flow
  • Focuses on success and a child's strengths
  • Engages parents

Ali Porteous from Childspace, New Zealand will take you through these important elements, using the Childspace assessment framework, which is based on a formative assessment sequence and celebrates children's learning through a strengths-based lens.

Furthermore, learning stories are all about capturing a child's learning, strengths, interests and curiosities in an easy to read narrative format. But what really makes a 'quality' learning story?

Through this webinar, Ali will go through the components of what makes a learning story quality, as well as some tips and tricks to make them fun and easy for parents and children to engage with.
