Positive Responses to Children Part 2 - Scenarios

About this event

Following up on her extremely well-received webinar on the guidance approach to children's behaviour, Jayne Mallin from New Zealand will go through a series of examples and scenarios, demonstrating the approach in real world situations.

The guidance method - developed by Dr. Louise Porter - is based on the belief that children do not need incentives to behave well but that, instead, they behave well when they can. It's an alternative to reward and punishment. Jayne has been using this approach with great success for most of her 20+ year career in early childhood education.

In this webinar, Jayne describes how the guidance approach can be viewed from the perspective of supporting children to reach their learning goals. This will be an interactive session where she will run through some scenarios and encourage ideas and feedback from participants.
