About this event
The alternative to a reward-and-punishment response to children’s behavioural challenges is guidance.
The guidance method - developed by Dr. Louise Porter - is based on the belief that children do not need incentives to behave well but that, instead, they behave well when they can.
In this webinar, New Zealand's Jayne Mallin describes how the guidance approach provides support for children to regulate their own emotions and impulses.
She will share ideas and theories - the guidance approach and others - that she has had success with over her 20-year career in responding to child behaviour. Follow Jayne on her Facebook page and website.
