In this webinar we will talk about the technological challenges Europe faces in monitoring its borders. Aggelos Vasileiou from SATWAYS Ltd, will share his expertise on existing border overwatch technologies, their limitations, and the need for harmonization.

As a member of Nestor project, Aggelos will explain how this European project is developing a functional next generation, holistic border surveillance system which provides pre-frontier situational awareness beyond maritime and land borders following the concept of the European Integrated Border Management.

Discover the role of the Orion 2 tethered drone as a component in this project, for an increased situational awareness with a permanent aerial view of defined perimeters.

    Mr. Aggelos Vasileiou, is a Research Project Manager for Security and Defense EU Projects at Satways Ltd. He is a Physicist (MSc) and has participated in several European Funded Research Projects covering topics from Border External Security and Surveillance, C-UAS technologies and strategies, to innovation procurement.
