Montana University Chief of Police, Brad Giffin, and Cloud Cover Mission Commanders, Richard Simpson and Brian Zacherl share their feedback on the use of tethered drones to help secure large events.
They deployed tethered and untethered drones on major events hosted at the Washington Grizzly stadium, with more than 25 000 seats capacity. Brad, Brian and Richard will be able to explain how tethered drones improved the safety and efficiency of their operations.

Brad Giffin Chief of Police @ University of Montana PoliceG
Brad Giffin has been a Montana state certified peace officer since 1990. Prior to his employment with the Missoula Montana Sheriff’s office, he was a US Marine with Weapons Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division. During his time with the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office, he worked in the Special Response Team as an Operator, Team Leader and Team Commander. He retired from the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office after more than 25 years of service, holding the rank of Captain of Professional Standards. Brad is also a graduate of the 213th session of the F.B.I. National Academy. After his retirement he went to work for the University of Montana Police Department, where he currently serves as the Chief of police.
