About this event
Having declared nature and climate emergencies, local authorities are at in the frontline of responding to climate change, biodiversity loss and increasing resilience challenges, while facing growing financial pressures and competing priorities. Going beyond statutory duties, policies and compliance, more local authorities are increasingly recognising that carbon reduction, climate adaptation and nature recovery cannot be tackled in isolation.
This proposed webinar brings together local authority leaders to explore how they are moving beyond individual environmental strategies towards integrated, place-based approaches that deliver multiple benefits for communities, economies and ecosystems.
We’ll examine how Somerset, North Yorkshire and Greater Manchester are embedding climate resilience, nature recovery and net zero objectives into decision-making, investment decisions and service delivery. We’ll also explore the role that natural capital, nature finance and partnership working can play in accelerating delivery.
