Beth Holt is an environment and sustainability consultant at Mott MacDonald. Beth studied BSc Physical Geography and MSc Sustainability and Consultancy at the University of Leeds. She joined Mott MacDonald as a summer intern in May 2018, undertaking research for the company on natural capital tools which formed the basis for her master dissertation. Since joining as a graduate in autumn 2018, Beth has worked within the Mott MacDonald’s Environment and Sustainability Services team. Acting as an environmental manager on large infrastructure projects, she is responsible for ensuring that project teams consider sustainability principles and environmental constraints throughout design and construction process.
Megan Barnes is a Social Outcomes Consultant at Mott MacDonald based in Leeds. Megan works across multiple sectors, specialising in accessibility and inclusive design and EDI. She also has experience in optioneering, socio-demographic analysis, benefits appraisal, impact assessments, and stakeholder engagement. Megan completed a BSc Physical Geography degree at University of Leeds, undertaking a summer placement in the Mott MacDonald between her second and third years before joining the Mott MacDonald graduate scheme. She is currently the chair of the CIWEM early careers steering group and was awarded CIWEM Young Environmentalist of the Year in 2021.
Zara is a Nature and Biodiversity Consultant for Environmental Resources Management (ERM) based in London. She studied a BA in Biological Sciences at the University of Oxford and an MSc in Environmental Technology at Imperial College London, during which she gained experience as a conservation and behavioural ecology researcher across Kenya, Philippines and Mozambique. At ERM, Zara has specialized in International Ecological Impact Assessments and corporate-level nature strategies to help companies manage their nature-related financial risks.
