About this event
In this Sustainability Delivery Group Expert Talk, Emma Wren, Natural Flood Management Lead at Mott MacDonald will outline the NFM Manual, which is due to be published by CIRIA shortly. It aims to help local groups and communities undertake flood risk management by working with nature, maximising the wider benefits achieved.
The talk will outline the NFM delivery process the team has developed and concepts, methods and tools included to help users understand all aspects of developing an NFM project. The manual is focussed on NFM in river catchments and currently provides more detailed technical guidance on some of the more complex NFM measures to design and implement. Emma will bring insights from developing the manual and relate this to some of the NFM projects that Mott MacDonald is involved with in the UK.
