About this event
Nature-based solutions (NbS) are seen as having a significant role to play in addressing the twin climate and nature crises. However, widespread uptake of NbS in public and private sectors has failed to be implemented at the requisite scale and pace to achieve significant impact.
Various blockages exist due to commonly held perceptions such as cost of implementation and maintenance, space required, outcome uncertainty, risk of failure, and public acceptance, for example.
In this Sustainability Delivery Group Expert Talk, GHD, in collaboration with Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks, will present and discuss their work on NbS and how we are seeking to overcome these challenges.
