Quantifying Biodiversity at DFW Airport: The Path to Nature Positive by 2050

About this event

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) aims to achieve a net positive impact on biodiversity by 2050.

To measure the current state of biodiversity, DFW developed a biodiversity baseline over the 17,000-acre airport property.

Using the America’s Biodiversity Metric, DFW now has a biodiversity baseline metric and map that can be used measure progress toward the 2050 goal.

This Expert Talk will explore how mapping biodiversity, using a quantifiable metric, and developing interactive data dashboards, is helping DFW communicate to airport stakeholders and highlight the impact of development and preservation on the total biodiversity.
