As flexo plate imaging and exposure technologies continue to advance, so does the ability to automate these processes and work remotely. Join Esko Business Development Manager Julian Fernandez and Esko Color Specialist Mark Samworth as we do a live demonstration from our home offices in Toronto, ON and Wilmington, DE, to the CDI Crystal and XPS Crystal in the Esko Miamisburg, OH, demo center. You’ll travel through space as you witness a plate being made at a remote location real time before your eyes. We’ll also have a little fun travelling though time as we speculate how flexo plate making might look in the year 2026.

Mark joined Esko in 1997 to work on the development, marketing, and industry support of Esko color products. These include screening, calibration, color management, and expanded gamut. He holds 11 patents in digital imaging – including FlexoCal, Hybrid Screening, Plate Cell Patterning, Concentric Screening, PressSync, and Equinox expanded gamut technology.

Julian has more than 30 years in the graphics industry, much of that spent in production, prepress, and packaging. He has extensive experience in color proofing and digital flexo plates, and also holds a 6 Sigma Green Belt and certificates from the FTA.
