One Market, Many Rails: Tackling the Fragmentation of European Payments

À propos de cet événement

Europe shares common payment standards (SEPA, instant payments, Wero, and soon the digital euro), yet beneath the surface the reality remains national. The euro area alone has 35 retail payment systems, along with must-have local payment methods and country-specific obligations. Skaleet, GFT and other payment experts unpack this fragmentation and the models that let you expand across Europe without rebuilding at every border.

The webinar will be held in English on Livestorm. Participants can ask questions live via the chat.

Theme 1: One market, national realities

SEPA harmonised the language, not the infrastructure. We'll map national rails and local champions (iDEAL, Bizum, Bancontact, Bancomat, Girocard), then look at where Wero, EuroPA and the digital euro really stand.

Theme 2: What operating in Europe really takes

National infrastructure integrations, must-have local payment methods, country-specific regulatory obligations and formats, and the generalisation of instant payments: the real price of entry in each market.

Theme 3: Scaling across Europe without rebuilding

Platforms that are "European by design, local by configuration". We'll cover the role of APIs and local partners (sponsor banks, payment specialists), with lessons from multi-country launches.
