Flownex invites you to their event

Methodology for Solar Rankine Cycle Design

About this event

Discover the intricacies of designing a solar Rankine cycle that harnesses energy from a variable heat source and supplies energy to perfectly align with variable load demand. This session will explore the calculations to determine the energy storage requirements and Flownex's role in sizing essential system components such as pumps, molten salt tanks and the steam generator.

We will discuss the details of the three critical control systems and demonstrate how to incorporate this into the system simulation. The control system will make use of PID controllers to control the cold molten salt pump speed, the hot molten salt pump speed, and the feedwater pump speed. Finally, we will investigate the performance of the complete system using a transient simulation and analyse the results to verify the design.
