About this event
Starting his journey as a CG artist in 1989, Andras Kavalecz started creating computer graphics on an ATARI 520 ST. As technology advanced, so did Andras, leading him down an exciting path as a CG Artist for videogames, television and film. Today, Andras is a CG Supervisor and owner of Checkpoint VFX, who specialize in creating photo-realistic visual effects and 3D assets creation for many high-profile projects including Mars for National Geographic.
Join this webinar to see how Andras expertly brought to life his independent short sci-fi film, Explore & Create. He will discuss how he created several assets in the film, the challenges he faced when working with organic shapes and reflective surfaces, and how Modo enabled a flexible and iterative creation workflow. Andras will also demonstrate how MeshFusion was used to interactively blend the subtraction, addition and intersection of subdivision surfaces while producing an airtight mesh that’s ready for animation.
Greg Brown, Modo Product Owner and Designer, will be joining the webinar to share what's next for Modo and moderate the live Q&A.
