Maribeth Glass, Senior Trainer at Sony Pictures Imageworks, will present an overview of how Katana is taught to new hires joining the lighting team. She will discuss how Imageworks implements Katana’s off-the-shelf capabilities with their in-house tool sets to prepare artists. Maribeth will also offer a glimpse into the lighting workflow that allows artists to create the amazing imagery you see on screen.
Foundry’s Terry Riyasat, Global Head of Creative Services, and Ian Taylor, Head of Product Content, will be joining the session to discuss the resources Foundry has available to help make artists and studios successful when adopting Katana and to moderate the live Q&A with Greg Berridge, Imageworks’ Training Department Manager.

Greg Berridge is the Manager of Training, Artist Development, and Academic Outreach (iCAD) at Sony Pictures Imageworks overseeing the organization’s ambitious education and training initiatives. Prior to assuming the role of manager, Berridge was a senior trainer at Imageworks responsible for the design, development, and delivery of technical training courses.
Maribeth Glass is a Senior Trainer at Sony Pictures Imageworks responsible for training the studio’s backend departments including: Lighting, Compositing, Stereo, and Look Dev, amongst others. Maribeth has spent over 15 years working at the industry’s best VFX and animation studios.
