Join Foundry’s Look Development team as they showcase Mari 5.0’s new features which include fundamental USD advancements, an enhanced brush engine, and powerful procedural workflows that reduce pipeline friction and boost creative collaboration.
Peter Aversten, Texture Supervisor and Founder of Meshmen Studios, will review the latest performance enhancements, and Gaël Kerchenbaum, Creature and Texture Artist, will break down how Mari was used to create the dragon featured in the 5.0 splash screen. Together, they will discuss favorite features like the Bake Point Filter, which allows you to apply Filters to your procedural recipes in a completely repeatable and non-destructive way, and the highly requested Hue/Saturation/Value brush jittering.

Currently building a digital Zoo of animals for Facebook AI, Gael Kerchenbaum has been designing for years fantastical Creatures from concept to the final stage. Thanks to his work experience for well-known studios, Gael has helped us to promote Mari with his fearsome Dragon.
Since 2016, Charli has worked in a number of roles across our Mari team - playing a key part both in interacting with users and in working behind the scenes with the development team. She is extremely excited to step into Product Manager for Mari and brings her user-focused strengths to the team.
