Mari Skill-Up: Creative Procedural Workflows in Mari 4.7

About this event

The latest release of Mari 4.7 focuses on procedural workflows and interoperability to help artists overcome challenges in texturing and look development. One of the key new features in Mari 4.7 is the Custom Procedurals workflow, which gives artists creative freedom on even the largest of assets and allows them to author, share and use procedural presets, quickly accelerating the work of whole teams.

Join Stuart Ansley, Texture Artist at Digital Domain who also runs a YouTube channel for texturing tutorials, for an introduction to the concept of custom procedurals. He’ll demonstrate their features, the solutions they provide to artists and how to optimize workflows. Stuart will also provide insight for beginner to advanced Mari users on:

  • What custom procedurals are, the solution they provide, and their benefit
  • Advanced node graph techniques and LayerStack friendly workflows
  • Creative Procedural Masking, Layers, and Filters
  • Optimization & Best Practices

Stuart will be creating a few custom procedurals for this webinar, which will be available to participants to download for free. The session will also wrap with a Q&A, so be sure to attend live!
