Sarah Hutchinson will dive into Pixar’s core rendering technology, RenderMan, talking about the state-of-the-art features used in Onward … and then look ahead, showing how new advancements in rendering technology are already impacting VFX pipelines for the better. It’s a great opportunity to see the latest technology coming from Pixar.

Dylan Sisson is a digital artist with over 25 years of experience in VFX and animation. Dylan joined Pixar in 1999 where he has been engaged in the evangelization of RenderMan. Sarah Hutchinson first joined the RenderMan team at Pixar Animation Studios in 2015. She is a developer for the RenderMan for Katana plugin, which has been used on every Pixar feature film since Finding Dory. Sarah works in Pixar's Seattle office, and her favorite Pixar characters are Rex and Remy.
Tim Best is a senior lighting artist and department-supervising technical director at Pixar Animation Studios. Best joined Pixar in September 2000 as part of the Monster's Inc. lighting team. He occasionally runs marathons and posts pictures of his cats on various social media platforms.
Trained in lighting and set design with a career that transitioned to a lighting focus in animation and vfx. After 15+ years in production Jordan joined Foundry. Currently the Director of Product for Look Development, Lighting and Pre-production tools at Foundry.
