Background
As the financial sector navigates the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, there are key impact areas and challenges that the financial sector must overcome whilst meeting regulatory requirements.
Our webinar series - Hansuke Conversations, are held weekly on Fridays at 10am (BST) to address topical challenges. Recent regulatory guidelines are encouraging FIs to view arrears and other issues in previously viable clients as temporary, and to filter government reliefs out of staging assessments. FIs are responsible for managing their credit risk and reporting and this webinar may consider:
- New business credit risk assessment through the pandemic and recovery
- Assessments of significant increases in economic risk in the loan book and how flexibility and forbearance is being considered
- How the government business support measures are being assessed in overlays, post model adjustments and in managing credit risk
- The impact on risk-based capital requirements
