IFRS 9, FRS 102 and capital requirements for FIs

About this event

Background

As the financial sector recovers from the pandemic, there are key impact areas and challenges that the financial sector must overcome whilst meeting regulatory requirements.

Our webinar series - Hansuke Conversations, are held weekly on Fridays at 10am (BST) to address topical challenges. These panel-led webinars feature leading practitioners sharing good practices and pragmatic solutions to challenges as they develop.

IFRS 9 and Capital Requirements

Financial Services regulators have provided guidance on the accounting treatment for the COVID19-related payment deferral reliefs provided by Governments.

The first payment deferrals are coming to an end and the FCA has issued updated guidance on how lenders should treat retail mortgage borrowers at the end of the initial deferral period. Firms are now assessing the capital and accounting treatment of the various ways in which the initial payment deferrals might end. A further Dear CEO letter was issued in June by the PRA to address exits from initial payment deferrals.

This webinar covers the implementation of the regulatory guidance on initial and further payment deferrals.
