About this event
This sector has everything to gain in productivity by using AI. If this sector is slowly integrating new technologies into its processes, the benefits can be multiple: Building Information Modelling (BIM), resolution of delay problems and prediction of over costs or even evaluation in terms of personnel safety.
Additional new challenges and opportunities for AI solutions arise from the health and economic crisis the world is currently facing due to the Corona pandemic. AI solutions can drive the development of new products and services that can, for example, modernize healthcare, secure logistics chains or transform production systems.
Within the framework of European cooperation in the field of AI, the French and German Ministries of the Economy have launched a Franco-German call for projects aimed at boosting the supply of AI solutions for risk prevention, crisis management and resilience. The projects will notably be able to respond to the problems linked to these three fields of application:
Projects dealing with cross-cutting issues, such as data sharing or the creation of synergies based on existing infrastructures such as GAIA-X, are also possible.
Operated by Bpifrance and DLR Projektträger, the development of the European AI ecosystem should be at the centre of the joint projects. The aim is to strengthen Europe's economic sovereignty and make the economy more resilient. Science and industry will work together in the new AI innovation projects.
