Third-party healthcare security breaches have exploded in recent years. While many healthcare professionals have taken proactive measures to heighten their own cybersecurity posture, there has been less focus on ways to secure against and mitigate vendor security breaches. In this presentation, Sarah Dufendach of Beazley Group will explore recent third-party healthcare security breaches, address the impact these incidents have had on the healthcare industry and discuss practical ways healthcare professionals can protect themselves and ensure business continuity.

About the presenter

Sarah Dufendach is a claims product specialist with Beazley Group and leads Beazley’s reinsurance cyber claims team. She handles incident response for and manages small business, municipality, professional services and healthcare-related data breach and cyber liability claims. Sarah is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP-US). Prior to joining Beazley, Sarah practiced as an insurance defense attorney in Philadelphia, PA.
