ISMIE Risk Management invites you to their event

Practice Wisely and Save Hours Each Day: Innovations in Patient-Centered Care

About this event

Everyone wants to have the time to provide quality care for our patients, yet we are often distracted by performing unnecessary administrative tasks. Nearly half of all U.S. physicians exhibit some signs of burnout, increasing the likelihood of mistakes, patient dissatisfaction and physician intent to leave practice. Improvements in clinical workflow, teamwork and communication are among the most potent anecdotes to burnout and achieving professional satisfaction with the Quadruple Aim: care, health, cost and meaning in work.

This session will describe the new AMA StepsForward™ practice transformation toolkits that can help physicians and staff re-engineer their office practice. Simple and practical time-saving changes that will be discussed include pre-visit planning, streamlined prescription management, expanded rooming and discharge protocols, team documentation, inbox management and team meetings. In addition, a de-implementation checklist will be provided that guides you to ‘Get Rid of Stupid Stuff’ (GROSS toolkit) and decrease meaningless EHR clicks.

The overarching goal of this presentation and practice redesign is to create a well-organized office system that fosters sound medical decision-making, minimizes error, increases provider quality time with patients and creates an atmosphere that patients, staff and physicians can enjoy.

Who can attend

Registration is limited to ISMIE and SEMPIC policyholders, and their employed staff.
