Illinois State Medical Society invites you to their event

2021 E/M Office or Other Outpatient Services Changes

About this event

Recently, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has moved its “Patients Over Paperwork” initiative forward. Part of that process involved a revision in the documentation requirement to support the use of CPT Evaluation and Management (E/M) Codes. This webinar, presented by Nathan Kennedy from National Government Services, will provide an important update on required documentation and guidance on the use of the revised code set.

Who can attend

Registration is limited to ISMS members and their practice administration staff. All others must pay $150 to attend. To pay, please email hpresearch@isms.org for instructions.

Learning objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. List changes to E/M for 2021.
  2. Describe how to select an E/M code.
  3. Discuss how to determine what qualifies as “Prolonged Care.”
  4. Describe how to bill for Prolonged Care.
