Illinois State Medical Society invites you to their event

Negotiating for a Win-Win

About this event

Many physicians are unaware of the opportunities they have to advocate for themselves with a potential employer, or how to access professional development resources to assist with negotiation. A poorly negotiated employment agreement or work schedule can negatively impact both a physician’s personal and professional life. The purpose of this activity is to educate physicians on the nuances of negotiation and self-advocacy, as to understand expectations of the employer during negotiations. The program will also help participants develop skills to utilize while negotiating, including growing confidence, while entering these conversations, which will ultimately form a better working relationship with their employer.
