Medicaid resumed requiring regular eligibility checks for all enrollees after the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency, after suspending the requirement for more than 2 years during the pandemic.

About the presenter:

Ken Ryan, Vice President, Member Advocacy at the Illinois State Medical Society (ISMS) and has over 35 years’ experience in health policy development and helping physicians understand how legislative and regulatory changes may affect their practices.

This program will cover:

  • A review of the “continuous coverage” and “unwinding” processes
  • An update on the status of the unwinding process to date, and the impact of the continuous coverage policy change
  • Tips for what physicians need to do to verify patient enrollment and ensure continued Medicaid reimbursement
