About this event
Almost half a million young people are being treated for their mental health every month, and a young person is referred to the NHS for mental health support every 30 seconds. Declining mental health in young people is an urgent national issue and from support staff, to classroom teachers to executive heads, our schools are facing the brunt of this crisis.
Join us for an engaging discussion, during which a panel of experts will debate the multiple layers of the mental health crisis in schools. From learning how to have meaningful interactions with individual children who are struggling, to whole academy trust approaches, we hope this event will help you navigate the mental health crisis with some tangible, take-away solutions at every level.
Facilitated by Jake Curtis, Co-CEO of Jamie's Farm, the panel will include:
Sarah Brennan OBE, Former CEO of Young Minds and children’s mental wellbeing expert
Tony Searle, Headteacher at Hans Price Academy
Tish Feilden, Co-Founder and Director of Methodology at Jamie’s Farm
Rebecca Boomer-Clark, CEO Academies Enterprise Trust
