Johan Cruyff Institute invites you to their event

Female athletes transition from elite sports

About this event

As an active professional athlete, the main focus is to perform, win championships or medals, and give their best to the sporting career. However, as this period comes to an end, sometimes sooner than expected, preparation for life beyond the field is important from all points of view: academic preparation, building skills, finding other passions, building other identities.

During this webinar, you will hear from former olympian Marga Crespi, professional basketball player Giorgia Sottana, former olympian Sabine Hazboun (Alumna Johan Cruyff Institute), and professional handball player Eduarda Amorim (Alumna Johan Cruyff Institute) their experience with building a life beyond sport, the challenges of a dual-career and pursuing education, staying involved in sport after their on the field career, and their advice for current athletes.

The webinar will be hosted by former professional basketball player and founder of Themoove Mar Rovira. The Themoove’s team has developed a transition program for athletes, which will be used as guidance at the webinar, putting light into the variables that have more impact to the transition out. This webinar is so powerful because spectators/audience will have the opportunity to hear about real situations from real athletes and former athletes.
