Join this free, online workshop and learn how to explore the "insides" of websites and extract information from them.
A lot of tech companies rely on Web scraping to fill their databases with publicly accessible information: price comparators, travel aggregators. Scraping is widely used in marketing for market research or customer feedback analysis. Data scientists and business intelligence specialists will use scraping to build datasets and crunch numbers. Not to mention that Google's business was built on crawling and indexing the Web.
In this workshop, we use Python, the Beautiful Soup scraping library, and an interactive Jupyter notebook to show you the basics of web scraping in a step-by-step tutorial.
This webinar will start with a 1-hour lecture to introduce the core concepts. You will then be onboarded on Le Wagon e-learning platform and access the slides, a sum-up of key notions as well as exercises to practice after the lecture portion.
This is an intermediate-level workshop. Some experience with Python will come in handy, but is not necessary — basic programming concepts will be explained in an accessible hands-on manner.
By attending the Women's Data Night, you're eligible to get a certificate of completion! We'll give more details at the beginning of the event
Through immersive coding bootcamps in Web Development and Data Science, Le Wagon teaches you the skills and entrepreneurial mindset you need to thrive - now and in the future. During our 9-week (full-time) or 24-week (part-time) coding bootcamp, learn the most in-demand skills.
