CoVid-19: Maintaining Mental Health & Building Resilience

About this webinar

Most gyms are closed and many of us cannot teach. With so much uncertainty around when we will be able to do what we love again and what the future will look like, this is a challenging time to navigate. The situation we currently find ourselves in has the potential to have a serious impact on our mental health and wellbeing in a similar way to how professional athletes are affected when they face career changing injuries and setbacks.

Join us on Tuesday, May 12 at 4PM CDT as Les Mills Trainer & Presenter and Registered Provisional Psychologist and PhD Candidate Inge Gnatt and Les Mills Asia Pacific People and Culture Director Amanda Breen discuss:

  • the psychology behind why the current situation has implications for mental health
  • how we as fitness instructors can manage during this time of change
  • strategies to improve mental health right now
  • strategies to assist instructors in being mentally ready to re-emerge when gyms re-open

Drawing on research and clinical practice with dancers, athletes and fitness professionals, this webinar will help you to unpack some of the potential responses to this difficult time and give you practical tools to manage your mental health and build resilience.
