Lhasa OMS invites you to their event

Treating and Correcting Shoulder Posture featuring Whitfield Reaves

About this event

Join Lhasa OMS as we host Whitfield Reaves, OMD, L.Ac. for his 5th FREE webinar, Treating and Correcting Shoulder Posture.

In this webinar, Whitfield will teach a simple treatment plan for the treatment and correction of shoulder posture. This includes anterior shoulder and forward head posture, both are now seen more often in our new world of laptops, tablets, and smart phones. This is now exaggerated due to our shelter in place lifestyle during these COVID months. Chinese medicine and specifically acupuncture do not address this situation very clearly, and as it becomes such an important clinical finding in the modern world it is important for practitioners to learn how to approach these treatments. Attend this webinar and learn a few simple tricks to show you how to get those shoulders to stay back and to keep the neck and head upright.

What Attendees Will Learn:

  • Treating the rhomboid minor to activate shoulder and scapular retraction.
  • Releasing the shortened and tightened pectoralis minor, which pulls the shoulder forward in protraction.
  • A quick and easy point or two to activate the posterior neck muscles enhancing upright head posture.
  • A few simple exercises, and how the practitioner can add to this treatment plan with patient "homework".

Who Should Attend:

  • Practitioners and students looking to learn more about the sports medicine approach to treating/correcting posture.
  • Practitioners and students looking to learn more about sports acupuncture.
  • Practitioners and students looking to add to their treatment tool box.
