LiveEO GmbH invites you to their event

New EU Anti-Deforestation Regulation - Assessing the Viability of Satellite Data to Validate Compliance

About this event

The EU just approved the anti-deforestation regulation, banning products linked to global deforestation after 2020.

Companies selling certain products in the EU are required to provide verifiable evidence of no deforestation for all farmlands in their supply chain.

Affected are the following commodities and their derivatives:

  • Cattle & Leather
  • Palm oil
  • Soy
  • Cocoa
  • Rubber
  • Coffee
  • Timber, Paper & Packaging

The EU suggests satellite data as one possible data source to verify the deforestation status of farmlands. In this webinar we will explore the following questions:

  • What are the minimum compliance requirements for affected companies?
  • What are the benefits and limitations of using satellite data as a means to comply with the regulation?
  • How can companies properly use satellite data to benefit from it and be 100% compliant with the regulation

The webinar will be a 20 minutes presentation followed by 10 minutes of Q&A where we will answer all your questions about the regulation and the viability of satellite data for your compliance strategy.
