We will outline some of the medical interventions for severe obesity, the role of diet and exercise, cultural conditions that may be relevant and also examine whether social inequalities play a significant role in its incidence.

With 28 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Julie’s career spans commercial and leadership roles in both Global and SME-size organisations. Julie also spent some time building breadth of skills, which included secondments in SFE and Human Resources, along with developing as a qualified Level 5 coach. Julie’s background spans Branded, Generic and Branded Generic medicines including launching new brands with a focus on "not just what needs to be done, but on how it’s done". This means empowering groups and individuals to ‘shine’ through delivering successful products to market whilst at the same time being aligned to the NHS. Key focus areas: * Simplifying and bridging NHS structural changes to pharma (what, why, how and who?) * Deliver results through market access by building knowledge and understanding, accountability and results * Mentoring to support and empower individuals and group business growth
