About this event
As the motor industry undergoes the greatest technological change within the past 100 years, the ACES technologies (Autonomous, Connected, Electrified & Shared) are demanding new skill-sets and standards. These skills and standards will help ensure the safety of both - the technicians working on the products and the customers who are using them.
The IMI has developed, with their partners, a set of standards known as Techsafe standards. Steve Nash and Tom Denton will discuss this as well as the existing standards relating to the different forms of EV’s; from mild-hybrids to full plug-in hybrids, and of course full EV’s. Khaled AlWassia will bring the conversation to the Middle East markets and how prepared the markets are in transitioning to the future EV phase. Is the region ready to handle repairs/maintenance for EV cars and what is the status of the talent located in the region?
