About this event
As one of the most common weather threats, lightning is a hazardous and unpredictable event that strikes the world every day.
People today are confronted with this dangerous natural phenomenon, sometimes on a daily basis and often with little knowledge of how to avoid its consequences. However, lightning remains one of the least considered natural hazards in the world, despite the thousands of victims and the significant material damage it causes every year.
Some stakeholders from all over the world working to raising awareness of lightning risk, have decided to celebrate International Lightning Safety Day on Monday 28 June 2021.
This international webinar will be an opportunity to discover and gather international specialists around the subject. They will present their actions in favour of the awareness of the population to the dangers of lightning and storms.
