1. Identify the Data That Matters - Explore the kinds of on-prem data, like manufacturing telemetry, transaction records, and security logs, that your analytics and AI teams could put to work in Databricks without moving it, and how to connect that data to real business value.
2. Build, Secure, and Monitor the Share - Using sample data, create and consume a table share with Delta and Iceberg data from Databricks, set up IAM policies, scoped access, and tokens, then use audit logging and Prometheus metrics to monitor activity and manage token access.
3. Prove the Value in Your Environment - Recap the steps to a working prototype, then see what it takes to try this on your own data: how to choose a simple first data set and use case, and what to consider so it succeeds.
