As part of this year’s celebrations, O&M Law LLP, a member of Asiri Africa, has organized a webinar on Intellectual Property (IP) in line with this year’s theme of ‘IP & SMEs: Taking your Ideas to Market’.
In this webinar, the speakers will shed light on the historical development of intellectual property (IP) in Kenya, why every entrepreneur needs to protect their intellectual property, and the various forms of protection. These forms of protection range from copyright, trademarks, utility models, industrial designs, and geographical indications.
The webinar will also outline the requirements for registration of the various forms of protection, their validity, their cost of registration, and the different regulatory bodies involved.
At the end of the session, the attendees will have gained critical knowledge on how they can benefit from intellectual property as well as understand the impact of IP on business growth.
