Nonprofits face the year-end giving seasons with mixed feelings. On one hand, it’s the best time of the year since you can feel the spirit of giving from just about everyone. At the same time, it’s a stressful time for nonprofits given that goals and targets must be met. Taking a look at your nonprofit's year-end giving program, what can we learn for next year? How can you use your year-end giving to springboard your 2023 giving? Join us as we chat with some industry experts to discuss strategies on how to evaluate and realign year-end giving programs.
Richard Tollefson established The Phoenix Philanthropy Group with nearly 20 years of fundraising and advancement management experience, and now has more than three decades of successfully helping strengthen nonprofit and other organizations.
Prior to starting The Phoenix Philanthropy Group in late 2004, he served as the Vice President of Institutional Advancement at his alma mater, Thunderbird School of Global Management, the world’s leading international business school.
Richard is involved with a number of civic and nonprofit organizations. His current and previous affiliations include serving on the Boards of Directors of Social Venture Partners International, Social Venture Partners Arizona, the Giving Institute, Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District VII, and Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Greater Arizona Chapter; the Advisory Council for Arizona Community Foundation’s Kellenberger + Tollefson Center for LGBTQ Philanthropy and Tollefson + Kellenberger Forum for Social Justice.
