A joint report by the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has indicated that Asia will accommodate nearly half of all new constructions in the world by 2040 (UNEP 2021). APAC now contributes 53 percent of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, with manufacturing and construction industries accounting for 17 percent of total emissions 🏭.
