Join this exclusive masterclass where privacy experts from
will take you through the ins and outs of negotiating data processing agreements (DPAs). You’ll learn to draft a DPA (and what to be mindful of if you use standard templates), navigate the negotiation process, incl. negotiation tactics and discussions on liability and indemnification (including suggested wording, and cultivate later compliance.
This masterclass is directed towards lawyers, legal counsels, compliance officers, contract managers, or other legal professionals who encounter data protection issues as part of their job and want to improve their knowledge.
You’ll receive teaching from a former employee of the Danish Data Protection Agency, external DPO, an expert who sits in-house with privacy at one of the largest Danish companies, and lawyers with a GDPR specialty.
The masterclass is free to attend but limited to 30 participants. The sessions will be held virtually on 3 dates of 1 hour duration. It is not mandatory to join all three sessions but recommended.
You’ll be joining the class together with 29 other participants and be able to build a network and ask questions, have debates etc. during the sessions.
We’ll take you through the data protection agreement, what it needs to contain in light of the new agreements from the European Commision. We will go through the required Annex’ and explain the requirement of implementing proper technical measures and keeping on top of your sub processors. We'll flag things to be mindful of when using templates. And we’ll focus on the negotiation process; what should you be focused on when getting a DPA from a processor?
