As usual, in term of choosing institutions, students and their parents own a desire to be closer to their families while still wanting the best college education. Especially, the recent COVID-19 pandemic also punches a kick to this demand strongly. Besides, the academic reputation of universities in Asia have been steadily climbing and many of them now rank among the very best institutions in the world, which changes the regular trend that many parents in Asia and Vietnam specifically have sent their children to the very best universities in the United States and Europe, hoping for a more prosperous future for years. One of primary cause leading to this on-trend movement is that there are more and more universities and college enhance their campus planning and quality.
To analyze the topic of campus planning, a panel discussion no 4, one of the activities of the the event Series "Shaping the unknown future toward smart city" which are organized by Institute of Smart City (ISCM), University of Economics and Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and more than 20 local and international universities, companies, NGOs, local authority around the world; which named “Smart Campus Planning Toward Satellite City & College Town” hosted by ISCM-UEH (Vietnam) & SmithGroup (US) on Friday 25th September 2020 at 6.00pm-7.00pm (UTC +7).
This panel discussion will demonstrate the possibilities of the approach to growing higher education in Vietnam while also stimulating economic growth and increasing quality of life
