Bios

Adolfo Gonzalez has been in the cannabis industry for 20+ years, with his early work focused on supplying Vancouver's DTES with copious amounts of clean, well-grown ganja. Later, Adolfo co-published Canada's first peer-reviewed opiate substitution study utilizing standardized cannabis capsules and soon after became one of the key lobbyists who successfully convinced the city of Vancouver to decriminalize dispensaries. Adolfo then focused on building CannaReps, the world's first cannabis sommelier certification. Today, Adolfo is co-owner and CEO of Book Club, a community building, curation, and innovation company.

Jeff Curtis has been heavily focused on consumer experience and cannabis consumption methods since 2015 when he opened the first 100% Canadian Glass Gallery in the country selling high-end smoke ware. Fast-forward to today, Boro and Beyond is one of Canada's most recognized wholesale/retail companies specializing in accessories consulting in the legal retail cannabis landscape. They consult for and host events, provide elevated services centered around concentrate consumption, lobby for consumption spaces in BC, and also manufacture supporting products that go with high-end smoke ware.

What is The State of Craft?

The State of Craft is a webinar series focused on the legal craft cannabis industry.

The rollout of cannabis legalization in Canada has been full of ups and downs. The craft cannabis industry in particular has been immensely affected by a myriad of challenges and missteps in the years following the Cannabis Act and Cannabis Regulations.

In The State of Craft, Sami Majadla, CEO of CertiCraft, facilitates conversations with leaders in the legal craft cannabis industry to explore what is going well and what is going not-so-well. We'll discuss what can realistically be changed at different levels of government and industry alike to address major issues the craft cannabis sector is facing, and hopefully inspire stimulating ideas of all sorts. Every episode will end with a 15 min live Q&A with our audience.
