SAVETCON invites you to their event

Acute upper-respiratory tract disease in cats

About this event

Part 1: Acute upper-respiratory tract disease in cats

Join Dr Karien Brink from RCL Foods and Prof. Danièlle Gunn-Moore for a free two-part webinar on 13 April and 18 May.

These two lectures will take a very practical and at times case-based approach to the causes, investigation and treatment of cases of acute and chronic upper respiratory tract disease in cats.

There will be a focus on the more newly recognised infections causes, including Mycoplasma species, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Streptococcus equi subspecies zooepidemicus, Aelurostrongylus abstrusus, and SARS-Cov-2, their pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment, plus thoughts on potential zoonotic risks. We will also discuss new advise about vaccinations and vaccinology in cats.

The talk on 18 May will focus on chronic upper-respiratory tract disease and is heavily case-based, practical and pragmatic, covering everything from chronic post-viral rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, nasonasal and nasopharyngeal polyps, nasopharyngeal stenosis, neoplastic and fungal causes.
