New York’s next mayor—and the many other new leaders across city government entering office in January 2022—will need to take bold steps to create an economic recovery that is lasting and equitable.

This event generated specific ideas and discussed which policy actions should be prioritized. It featured brief, high-energy idea pitches; one-on-one fireside chats; a moderated discussion with some of the city’s leading thinkers; and a session that solicited ideas from audience members.
