Ex-game ranger and a man of humble beginnings. He is neither a mountaineer nor a climber, but he has been to the top of Mount Everest twice from two different sides, which makes him the first black person in the world to achieve this. Together with Alex Harris he was one of the first two Africans to walk to the South Pole unsupported and unassisted and walked to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro more than a dozen times. He is the first black person in the world to climb the seven highest mountains of each continent. After reaching the North Pole in April 2012, he became the first black person in the world to achieve the grand slam of adventuring, known to some as the Three Poles, which are the summit of Mount Everest, the North Pole and the South Pole. Graduate of Life’s Lessons, a university found on top of all mountains, big and smalls. He tackles great challenges with a positive mind and a strong will to succeed.
