He has more than 10 years of work experience in the field of structural safety, Rapid Visual Screening (RVS) and Non-destructive tests (NDT) of buildings, multi-hazard vulnerability and risk assessment, loss and damage estimation due to earthquakes, technical standards and guidelines for disaster risk reduction, etc. In the recent past, he has been associated with National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Government of India as an earthquake expert to provide technical input and undertake earthquake risk mitigation efforts in the country.
