Plastometrex invites you to their event

Benchtop Open Demo: PIP Testing on AM Parts

About this event

Join Dr Max Burley, the Chief Hardware Engineer at Plastometrex, as he covers the benefits of PIP testing on AM parts vs traditional methods and gives a live demonstration of our Benchtop Plastometer at work.

Benefits include:

• The ability to test directly on AM parts enabling spatial mapping, increasing insights and eliminating the need for witness coupons.

• Faster testing times, reducing turnaround times by up to 99%.

• Minimal sample preparation and material volumes, resulting in significant cost savings per test.

• Quick detection of inhomogeneity and anisotropy across a part’s structure.

• Super-fast parameter development and machine optimisation.

See first-hand how the Plastometer can streamline your AM testing while providing more insights into the mechanical properties of a part. Be sure to register now to reserve your place.

Max Burley Chief Hardware Engineer @ Plastometrex

I am the lead for hardware development at Plastometrex. My background is in metallurgy, with my PhD focusing on the characterisation of materials from indentation data. This included characterisation of high strain rate plasticity, creep and fracture behaviour.
