Decision-Making for Sustainable Built Infrastructure Systems

About this event

Cities face mounting stormwater management crises due to population growth, deteriorating infrastructure, and climate change. Green infrastructure has been endorsed by many practitioners as a more sustainable approach to stormwater management, yet several challenges have prevented widespread adoption across U.S. cities. This research program investigates what factors drive the adoption and implementation of sustainable built infrastructure systems, including municipal green infrastructure programs. The objective of this program is to develop decision-support tools and educational strategies to overcome barriers to adopting and implementing these systems.
