About this event
Discover the future of sustainable construction with Goodman and LIST Eco, as Rebecca Lamas and Sebastian Theißen present the pioneering Bremen VIII GreenSpace+ ONE Logistics Centre. Nestled in the heart of Bremen, Germany, this landmark project leads the charge in slashing upfront embodied emissions by 30% against traditional building methods. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in sustainable development, establishing new standards for green construction through innovative partnerships.
Rebecca Lamas is part of the sustainability and innovation team at Goodman Continental Europe since 4 years, leading the strategies and execution of embodied carbon, materials, circularity, water, waste and HVAC. Rebecca is a geological engineer with master’s degree in renewable energy engineering and management, and has 10 years of experience in sustainability strategy and implementation in Europe and Africa.
Sebastian Theißen have studied green building engineer with an additional focus on heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems (HVAC). As one of two managing partners of LIST Eco, he is responsible for a 40-strong team of sustainability specialists who develop holistic sustainability concepts for EU taxonomy-compliant buildings and future-oriented neighbourhoods. In addition, he is a doctoral candidate at BU Wuppertal/Chalmers University of Technology. Hereby, Sebastian's current research primarily focuses on the implementation of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Circularity and hazardous building material assessment of HVAC using open Building Information Modeling (BIM) based material passports of buildings.
Scheduled for completion in Summer 2024, the Bremen VIII project is not just a structure, it's a testament to sustainable excellence, aspiring for the prestigious Platinum Certificate of the German Sustainable Building Council.
