Functional Safety and Cybersecurity Assessor at DEKRA since 2020, with expertise in ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and IEC 61508 assessments. Engineer in Electronics with a degree in Telecommunications Engineering; previously served as Technical Project Leader at Ficosa North America and Software Project Leader at Ficosa Spain (Panasonic). Former Security Engineer at Applus+ Laboratories, specializing in ISO 26262 assessments for Bosch (Engine ECU, Airbag ECU, Steering by Wire ECU), conducting ISO 26262 audits for Harman, and performing ISO 21434 audits for Faurecia Clarion. Additional experience includes IEC 61508 assessments for Rheinmetall and security evaluations, such as EMVCo evaluations for smartcard applications with Gemalto and Giesecke+Devrient.
Master’s degree in industrial engineering with special mention in Robotics and Industrial Automation from the Zaragoza University (Spain). Previously working in Computer vision and Industry 4.0 topics with 6+ years of experience in AI for Computer vision development. International expert member of the UNE CTN-UNE 71/SC 42 – AI and Big Data, as well as national expert for CEN/CENELEC JTC21 on AI, participating in WG2 “Operational aspects” and WG3 “Engineering aspects”. Moreover, he is an expert member of the ISO/TC 22/SC 32/WG 14 in charge of the Safety and Artificial Intelligence topics, including the development of the ISO 8800. He is currently the AI Testing & Certification manager in DEKRA, where he develops the new services for this quickly evolving landscape.
